How to prepare

Before your visit

  • Fast 8-10 hours before your appointment - the lipid panel, fasting glucose, and the stool occult blood test all need a clean overnight fast.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours and heavy meat for 48 hours before the visit so the stool occult blood result is not falsely positive.
  • Remove neck chains, metal-detail bras, and underwire before arriving - the chest X-ray needs a clean image without artefacts.
  • Bring any inhaler, GTN spray, or chronic medication; keep taking them unless your prescriber said otherwise.
  • Allow about 2 hours on site for Picasso - bloods, urine, X-ray, ECG, and the consultation that walks you through your cancer-marker results.

Results

How your results are delivered

Most Picasso results - including cancer markers, thyroid, and hepatitis serology - return within 2-3 working days. Your Personal Health Concierge collates everything and books a results-review consultation focused specifically on triaging any cancer-marker flags: a single elevated AFP or PSA is rarely diagnostic, so the doctor talks you through what does and does not warrant a repeat test, an ultrasound add-on, or a specialist referral. The concierge then books whatever next step is agreed.

Choosing your tier

Why Picasso vs. neighbouring tiers

Picasso adds cancer markers, thyroid, hepatitis, and a chest X-ray on top of the Monet foundation. It does not include ultrasound scans, hsCRP cardiac inflammation, or hand-grip / hearing assessments. If you want to choose an ultrasound or add inflammation markers, Michelangelo (RM 1,155) is the next step.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the Picasso package

Clear answers, written by our clinical team. Tap any question for its direct permalink, or reach out to your Personal Concierge for anything else.

  1. What cancer markers are included in Picasso?

AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein), CEA (Carcinoembryonic Antigen), plus PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) for men or CA125 for women. These are blood-based screening markers - any elevation triggers a structured concierge-led follow-up, not a diagnosis on their own.

  2. Does Picasso include any imaging?

Yes - a chest X-ray and a resting ECG. Ultrasound scans (thyroid, kidney, breast/prostate, etc.) start from Michelangelo (RM 1,155) and above.

  3. How is Picasso different from Monet?

Picasso adds cancer markers (AFP, CEA, PSA or CA125), thyroid function (Free T4, TSH), hepatitis A/B antibodies, a stool occult blood test, and a chest X-ray. The biomarker count rises from 52 to 62.

  4. Is Picasso suitable for executives?

Yes for a baseline executive check. Many executives upgrade to Michelangelo or Van Gogh for the choice of imaging and cardiac inflammation markers - your concierge can advise on a 5-minute call.

  5. How often should I repeat the Picasso screening?

Annually for most adults over 35, or every 2 years for adults 30-35 with no flagged results. Your concierge will diary the next visit based on the report findings.

  6. Are vaccinations included?

No. If hepatitis B antibody is low, our doctors may recommend a catch-up vaccination - this is quoted separately before it is given.
