Quick answer

Da Vinci is Hisential's flagship health screening - 69 biomarkers building on Van Gogh with three ultrasound scans of your choice, EBV VCA IgA (nasopharyngeal cancer marker, particularly relevant for South-East Asian populations), and H. Pylori IgG for stomach-cancer risk. The most comprehensive single-visit assessment we offer, reviewed by our MMC-registered medical team and coordinated by a Personal Health Concierge.

How to prepare

Before your visit

  • Fast 8-10 hours before your appointment - Da Vinci's lipid, glucose, hsCRP, and Vitamin D readings all depend on a true overnight fast.
  • If clinically appropriate, hold proton-pump inhibitors (omeprazole, esomeprazole, pantoprazole) and bismuth-based antacids for 2 weeks before the H. Pylori IgG test - speak to the concierge BEFORE booking if you are on long-term PPIs so we can coordinate with your prescriber.
  • Confirm your three ultrasound selections with the concierge 24-48 hours in advance so the sonographer can sequence them (bladder-dependent scans first).
  • If any of the three scans is pelvic, KUB, or prostate, drink 750ml of plain water about an hour before your slot and hold off urinating.
  • Allow about 3-3.5 hours on site for Da Vinci - three ultrasounds plus the full Da Vinci panel, X-ray, ECG, and an unhurried consultation take longer than the lower tiers.
On the day

What to expect during your visit

  1. 1Concierge check-in confirms all three ultrasound selections, sequences them for bladder timing, and flags the H. Pylori and EBV samples for the lab.
  2. 2Biophysical station: blood pressure, BMI, body-fat, and visual acuity.
  3. 3Phlebotomy and urine: a single draw covers the full 69-biomarker Da Vinci panel including EBV VCA IgA, H. Pylori IgG, β-hCG, and Vitamin D.
  4. 4Resting 12-lead ECG and chest X-ray.
  5. 5Three ultrasound scans of your choice, performed in the radiology suite - usually back-to-back with a short break between scans to refill the bladder if needed.
  6. 6Extended doctor consultation: physical exam plus an integrated discussion of all three scans alongside the broadened cancer panel.
  7. 7Concierge wrap-up: detailed results-review consult booked, and any specialist referral arranged before you leave.
Results

How your results are delivered

Lab results - including EBV VCA IgA and H. Pylori IgG - typically return within 2-4 working days; the formal radiology reports for all three ultrasounds usually arrive within 2-3 working days. Your Personal Health Concierge consolidates a three-scan radiology bundle plus the widest cancer-marker panel Hisential offers into a single results-review consultation. If H. Pylori is positive, the doctor outlines an eradication regimen on the spot; if EBV VCA IgA is borderline or elevated, the concierge coordinates ENT or oncology review without you needing to navigate the referral yourself.

Choosing your tier

Why Da Vinci vs. neighbouring tiers

Da Vinci is the most comprehensive general-screening tier. The only step beyond is Bernini (RM 1,800) which sacrifices a couple of ultrasounds for hormonal, insulin, and advanced cardiac depth (ApoA1/ApoB/Lp(a)). Many patients alternate Da Vinci one year and Bernini the next.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the Da Vinci package

Clear answers, written by our clinical team. Tap any question for its direct permalink, or reach out to your Personal Concierge for anything else.

  1. Why is EBV VCA IgA included in Da Vinci?

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) has elevated incidence in South-East Asian and Southern Chinese populations. EBV VCA IgA is a recognised screening marker for early NPC risk - relevant for many patients in Malaysia, which is why it is included in our flagship tier.

  2. What is H. Pylori IgG and why does Da Vinci include it?

Helicobacter pylori is a stomach bacterium linked to chronic gastritis, peptic ulcers, and gastric cancer. The IgG blood test screens for past or current infection so any positive finding can trigger an eradication regimen before complications develop.

  3. Which three ultrasounds should I pick?

Common combinations: men 45+ often pick prostate + hepatobiliary + KUB; women often pick breast + pelvic + thyroid; patients with osteoporosis risk swap one for BMD. Your concierge will tailor the choice on booking.

  4. How long does the Da Vinci screening take?

Plan for 2.5-3 hours on site to fit three ultrasounds plus the standard bloods, ECG, and unhurried doctor consultation. Results typically return within 3 working days; your concierge schedules the review consult before you leave.

  5. Should I choose Da Vinci or Bernini?

Da Vinci is broader (3 ultrasounds + widest cancer panel); Bernini is deeper on hormones, insulin/HOMA-IR, and advanced cardiac markers (ApoA1, ApoB, Lp(a)). Many patients alternate year-on-year. A 5-minute call with our concierge will sort the right pick for your goals.

  6. Is Da Vinci price all-in?

Yes. RM 2,199 covers the doctor consultation, every test and scan listed, and the written report. Optional add-ons (e.g. an extra ultrasound, vaccinations) are quoted before they are done.
